A week or so ago, we planted a rose mallow near the deck. When I let Penny out this morning, this huge bloom greeted me and I had to take a picture.

Busy weekend . . . friends were in town to attend the wedding of a mutual friend. There was much eating, drinking, laughing, and just hanging out. Oh, and there was discussion of our respective medical problems. What are we, 65?!? This isn't supposed to be happening yet.

Finally finished Harry Potter last night. I know I'm behind the times, but I'd been reading Chronicles of Narnia and wanted to finish those stories first. What's that? I'm behind the times on that too? Way behind? Yeah, I knew that.

And now, to bed. Harry's been keeping me up late the last few nights, and I'm paying the price.
