Where'd the weekend go?

Japanese lanterns at Obon

Can it really be Sunday night? The weekend has flown by. Yesterday we loaded Penny in the car and drove to South Jersey for the Obon festival (the link is from a similar event in NY) with dancers and Taiko drummers. Fortunately, it was an evening event because the weather has been NASTY.

Today we continued the Japanese theme (and stayed inside as much as possible). J.P. made chow mein and we invited his mom and our neighbors for dinner. The best part? Leftovers!
