Hence the need for the coat
Well, Suzie, here's the picture you asked for: our freshly-shorn dog. It just kills me that her legs look so long and skinny. And she kind of has the bobblehead afro look going. Last time she was at the groomer, the whole top of her head was shaved and I thought it looked terrible:
Plus her ears were too long, and the right one was very uneven. So overall, this cut is better. And next time I think we'll have it just about right—some "bangs" on her forehead and the back of her head shorter.
Taking her to the groomer couldn't be more convenient. The woman who lives two doors down from us does it in her basement. We walk Mags over in the morning, and if we can't be home when she's finished, the groomer brings her back home and lets her into the house. So I'm willing to put up with the ragged look occasionally.
Can you stand a few more pooch pics? J.P. took these shots of us a few weeks ago, and the looks on her face crack me up.
I played around with this one a bit in honor of the holiday:
Speaking of Valentine's Day, I came home to a nice little unexpected gift. J.P. and I aren't big on the holiday, and at most we usually just do cards. But this was nice:
And we did go out to dinner at Texas Roadhouse. Yep, just him, me, and a couple hundred other rednecks. Now we're both sitting here on the couch, stuffed to the gills with our pants unbuttoned. Romantic, huh?
